The Return of Hersh’s Anti-Temperance Society!

On Monday nights at 6:30pm from January through May, we’re going to teach you lots of things about the sauce, whether you want us to or not! Some of the sessions will be conducted by our lovely bar boss Ali Dryer, but some will be led by the brewers, distillers and winemakers who impress Hersh’s, with the first Monday of every month dedicated to beer. A special $5 drink will be available to HATS attendees all evening at the bar.

March 20: Old World v. New World wines, with the very knowledgeable Bacchus Importers’ rep Marcie Prince.

March 27: Sours rescheduled! Tonight we’ll be learning about delicious drinks for your Easter celebration, like Corpse Revivers and sparkling wine cocktails.

April 17: Sours! Come learn about these bright and refreshing cockies, which are nothing like the swill that comes out of sour mix.

The Beast Series

Carnivores, we’re looking at you and your friends. We’re cooking up large-party dinners (with the emphasis on ‘party’) that revolve around all or part of whichever animal is making the chef swoon at the moment. With a week’s advance notice, we’ll give six to ten of you a meat feast to remember.

Past Beast Feats have included a whole wood-fired leg of lamb with pillowy housemade focaccia, pickled vegetables, greens and various other accoutrements. We’ve also done a whole dry-aged Roseda rib eye, as well as a pork shoulder, but really the possibilities are endless.

Weekdays 5-7pm choose from among several $5 Happy Hour Specials. Choose any two draft beers for $5 total. We also offer a designated Specialty Cocktail, a Glass of White Wine & a Glass of Red Wine for $5 each. (Valid proof of legal drinking age required. Hersh’s is closed every Tuesday)
